The new poster for OFF BRAND has just been finished and I am excited to share! We will be ordering these in very small quantities so if you are interested please send a message.

As things have started slowing down for me in my new city I now have the time to try to save the preview of the show. In case you are wondering what a preview is and why I don’t call it a trailer, here you go.

I call it a preview to help curb expectations. I feel that when the word trailer is used people often think of a 1-3 minute video that contains clips from the movie / show. I didn’t want to show clips from the show and ruin the best jokes we had to offer. Seriously – it’s the worst when you realize that the film makers have ruined their film by spoiling the story or the best jokes from their film in the trailer.

Soooo instead I opted to shoot a 4-5 minute segment that is self contained and serves to introduce people to the characters of the show and give them a feel for the drama and comedy.

The shooting of the preview was incredibly rushed before my move so the quality wasn’t as high as I had hoped but I think it will be solid after a couple weeks of work. Parts of the shoot were improved and with Dave being a great comedian with the “Hustlebot” crew it was really entertaining to hear all of the one liners he thought fit the scene.

The attached video contains all of the unused one liners that Dave performed for his heroic kill.

Things are moving a little slow at the moment. The move to Chicago has temporarily messed with my plans of frequent updates. The good news is that I am now (mostly) settled in and things should get back up to speed soon. I am currently working on the preview of the show (more on that later) and we have started reaching out to people who we hope could help us get to a point where it is possible to produce the rest of the show with a proper budget.

So it has come to my attention that many of the people who have attended the premiere has had the theme song stuck in their head since then. It is nice to know I am not the only one. This has motivated many people to contact me asking for the song.

I have talked with Josh (who wrote the song for the show) and he is graciously offering the song as a free download. If you like this you will love the rest of Meeting of Important Peoples music. Let me help you on your quest.

Please join us for the first public showing of the Off Brand pilot (parts 1 and 2)! It will be at the South Side Works Cinema this Thursday (the 11th) We will be having two showings one at 7pm and the other at 8pm, there is no cost to come to show but if you like what you see please donate so we can continue work on the show. We will also be selling sticker and postcard packs along with a small number of posters. We hope to see you there!
